EDRA, UT — The communities of Erda and Tooele are reeling from the tragic loss of Robert Chato Rainwater, 66, and Alan Boyd Anderson, 65, who were killed in a fatal crash on the morning of March 25, 2026.

The collision occurred just before 10:00 a.m. near SR-179 and Parachute Park Lane, when the Corvette carrying Rainwater and Anderson turned in front of a Freightliner semi-truck, leading to a devastating accident. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene, while the semi-truck driver, who sustained only minor injuries, was treated at a local hospital.

Rainwater and Anderson, both longtime residents of Tooele, were known for their warmth, kindness, and active involvement in the community.
